The twelve step recovery model was first outlined by Alcoholics Anonymous in the 1930s and has since become one of the most popular methods of addiction treatment used throughout the world.  Today, there are 12 step drug rehab programs that not only effectively provide support and care for those suffering from alcoholism but also for those suffering from cocaine addiction, methamphetamine addiction, narcotics addiction and many other substances.  Read more about 12 step drug rehab here.

Affordable Drug Rehab

Affordable drug rehab programs provide patients with a budget friendly treatment plan that often includes things like group counseling, low cost medications and budget based care.  For those who do not know how they could otherwise afford treatment for their drug addiction, these affordable drug rehab programs can assist them in getting the help they need at a price they can afford.  Find out more about affordable drug rehab programs here.

Christian Drug Rehab

Christian drug rehab programs utilize the bible, faith in God and Christian values to help patients recover from addiction.  Every aspect of the rehabilitation program will include the foundation and principles of the Christian faith.  Meals may include prayer beforehand, there is usually chapel or service time, and lessons are taught both on an individual and group basis by the pastor, vicar, or similar elder of the organization.  Learn more about Christian drug rehab programs here.

Free Long Term Drug Rehab

For those who cannot afford treatment, free long term drug rehab programs provide counseling, support and care at absolutely no cost to the patient.  Many of these programs are funded by state agencies or church organizations to assist the community in being healthy and drug free.  Free long term drug rehab programs may not always offer as much medical monitoring as some of the paid programs but continue to provide a solid foundation for recovery especially to those who otherwise would be unable to get help.  Find out more about free long term drug rehab programs here.

Non 12 Step Drug Rehab

Any drug rehab program that is not based on the principles and steps outlined by Alcoholics Anonymous in the early 1930s is considered a non-12 step drug rehab program.  These programs typically use a scientific approach to treatment rather than acting upon a “higher power” but not all non-12 step drug rehab programs are evidence based.  Some can be combined with 12-step recovery models while other non-twelve step programs are the complete opposite of a 12 step program and cannot be combined.  Read more about non-12 step drug rehab programs here.
