Many of these programs are funded by state agencies or church organizations to assist the community in being healthy and drug free. Non 12 Step Drug Rehab
Any drug rehab program that is not based on the principles and steps outlined by Alcoholics Anonymous in the early 1930s is considered a non-12 step drug rehab program. These programs typically use a scientific approach to treatment rather than acting upon a “higher power” but not all non-12 step drug rehab programs are evidence based. Some can be combined with 12-step recovery models while other non-twelve step programs are the complete opposite of a 12 step program and cannot be combined.
